Science-policy interface

In order for our work to have a real impact, our research findings need to be integrated in conservation policies and practice. Trickling down research findings into policy and practice, will enhance the long-term capacity to preserve wild Malaysian elephants and the ecosystems they inhabit. Although conservation actions are implemented by government agencies, NGOs and corporations, we find it important to collaborate with each other and not work in silo. Thus, MEME’s research and engagement activities would be a platform to bridge the gap between science and policy including its implementation.
